Join us for an insightful webinar exploring the latest developments in meta-optics, wave plates, and wire grid polarisers presented by MOXTEK®. They will highlight key technologies driving innovation in modern photonics and optical systems. Whether you’re a researcher, engineer, student, or industry professional, this session will provide valuable insights into the principles, design, and applications of these advanced optical components.
Key takeaways:
- Latest technologies and performance advantages of wire grid polarisers.
- Introduction to Moxtek’s new wide-angle, inorganic, zero-order waveplates.
- How meta‑optics enable system miniaturisation without sacrificing performance.
- Examples of meta-layer stacking of multiple optical elements onto a single substrate.
- Current Meta-Optics design and manufacturing capabilities.
- Technology challenges and next steps.
Meta-optics offer distinct advantages over traditional refractive optics including:
- Miniaturisation: A significantly smaller physical footprint facilitates high-density integration within space-constrained environments.
- Ultra-short Focal Lengths: The ability to achieve high numerical aperture (NA) enables efficient light collection and tight focal spots within compact systems.
- Phase Profile Engineering: Precise control over the wavefront allows for specialised beam shaping, as used in optical tweezer generation and atom trapping.
- Narrow-band Optimisation: Exceptional performance is achieved at the design transition wavelengths.
